Elementary Program

The Elementary program (Kindergarten-Sixth Grade) is built on a foundation of the Abeka curriculum. With a strong emphasis on phonics, CCS looks to produce strong readers, which ultimately helps in all subjects. With an average class size of about 18 children, teachers are able to give individual and personalized attention to their students. Bible, Language Skills, Math, Writing (including cursive), Science, and Social Studies make up the core subjects. Special classes include Art, Music, Spanish, and Physical Education.

Secondary Program

Strong academics and critical thinking are emphasized at the Middle School / High School level. All students gain knowledge in all the primary subjects. Parents and students of high school students may choose from several diploma options with meet and exceed Indiana Core-40 standards. CCS uses a number of curriculum vendors such as CPM for Math, StudySync for English, along with Abeka, Bob Jones Press, and others to meet our academic expectations. All students from seventh through twelfth grades receive their own Chromebook as improvements in educational technology and training have been implemented over the past few years. World View Wednesday

One unique program which sets CCS apart from other schools is our World View Wednesday program for our secondary students. Each Wednesday morning starts off with a chapel service. Chapel worship is led by a student praise team, and area pastors and youth pastors come to share the weekly messages. Academically, math and English continue to be taught on Wednesdays, but they are also filled with music and art, and our World Event Focus program. Most significantly, each week one class heads out to serve at a local non-profit organization. Community involvement is one of the CCS core values, and this program enables us to teach our students about social responsibility.
