We have another superstar lifelong learner in our midst! Huge congratulations to Mrs. Latiak on having been named to the Fall 2024 Dean's List for Grace College. Those named to this list carry a full-time load and have achieved a 3.940 grad point average or better for the semester, and Mrs. Latiak has a 4.0! One thing that separates CCS from other schools is our amazing college and career counselor. Melanie Latiak not only meets with students one-on-one multiple times throughout their secondary career but also makes herself available to alumni who have questions and need help with their college or career choices even after graduation. Last week, Algebra II and Geometry classes swapped roles with Coach Dee and became the teachers. Students were charged with developing a method to teach standards that had been reviewed in the first semester to their peers. Coach Dee did an excellent job incorporating reading, writing, and oral presentation standards into math class! Literacy standards are always being taught in every subject at CCS! We have a lot going on this week. The celebration of the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. is Monday,. Tuesday, due to frigid temperatures, we will have a hybrid eLearning day. Wednesday, students return to the building for live instruction.
